Superhero masks, slime and Captain America shields are among the activities waiting for families at Westfield Chermside as the school holiday program gets underway.
The free Marvel-themed sessions run from 21 to 26 September, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. each day, on Level 1 near Telstra. A different activity is scheduled across the six-day program.
A different hero each day
The week begins with Hulk slime-making on Monday before shifting to magnetic Spider-Man bookmarks on Tuesday and Captain America shield-making on Wednesday.
Hulk returns on Thursday, Spider-Man on Friday and Captain America on Saturday, giving families several chances to drop in across the week without needing to attend every day.
The activities are free and form part of Westfield Chermside’s broader school holiday program.

A wider Marvel campaign
The Chermside sessions are part of a broader Westfield and Marvel school holiday campaign running at selected centres across Queensland.
Some centres are hosting different attractions, but Chermside’s program is focused on hands-on craft activities inspired by Marvel characters.

A Disneyland prize on offer
Westfield members can also enter a separate competition for a Marvel-themed family holiday to Hong Kong Disneyland.
Entries are open from 17 September to 11 October through the Westfield app. The prize includes return flights for two adults and two guests, two nights at Disney’s Hollywood Hotel in a Marvel-themed room and two-day park tickets for four people.
The park includes Marvel attractions such as Iron Man Experience and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle.
School holiday plans close to home
For Chermside families, the week-long program offers a free indoor activity during the school break, with sessions running through to Saturday, 26 September. The final day runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with Captain America shield-making scheduled to close the program.
